Towns We Cover

Coverdale Pest Control is based in Bethel Park and works in the communities right around it: Upper St. Clair, Mt. Lebanon and South Park. Houses, townhomes, rental units and small commercial buildings are all part of the work.

These towns share a lot that matters for pest work. Many streets are lined with brick and stone houses from the middle of the last century, with full basements, open attics and old trees close to the roofline. Wooded lots and creeks run between the neighborhoods, from the edges of South Park to the stream valleys along the township lines. That mix means mice and squirrels have plenty of cover close to the houses, and termites have plenty of wood and damp soil to work with.

• Subterranean termites swarming on warm spring days, often after a rain
• Yellow jackets and hornets nesting in walls, eaves and the ground by late summer
• Carpenter ants in damp wood around old trees, porches and leaky window frames

None of these means a house is dirty or neglected. Older houses simply have more ways in, and wooded lots bring more animals close to the walls. The work is the same in every town: find the way in, deal with what is inside, then close it.
