The business behind the site

Coverdale Pest Control runs coverdalepestcontrol.com from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. This page is about the information that reaches us via the website, by phone and by email, and explains what happens to it after that.

What reaches us

Two kinds of information reach us. The first is what you decide to give us: the name, phone number, email address and job details you type into the service request form, plus your address or ZIP code where the form includes them, and whatever you say on a call or write in an email. The second is technical. Whenever a page is requested, the servers of the company that hosts the site record the visitor’s IP address, the browser in use, the page and the time, and that is how the site is protected and kept running.

Cookies and visit counts

This website uses no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. The hosting provider may set one strictly necessary cookie that protects the site from attacks, and it may tally visits without cookies, which gives anonymous totals of the pages people open.

Where information goes

We rely on outside providers to run the website, the email and the request handling, and they process information as part of running those services. Partners who help with answering a request or doing the work are given what that job requires. We can also disclose information if a law requires it or to protect rights or safety.

Why we need it

We use your information to:

  • follow up about the job afterwards;
  • keep our business records;
  • meet our legal obligations;
  • answer your request;
  • protect this site;
  • arrange and carry out the work.

Security

We take reasonable precautions with the information we hold. We cannot guarantee that it will always be safe, because every system carries some risk.

When information is deleted

Retention is tied to purpose: we hold on to information while it serves your request, the work itself, our bookkeeping or a legal duty. Once none of those applies, we delete it.

What you can ask us

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask for it to be deleted, by phone or by email. For your protection, we may ask for a detail that shows the request really comes from you. Whatever you ask, you will be treated the same as anyone else.

Your privacy choices

If you live in California or another state with a comparable privacy law, you are entitled to opt out of any selling or sharing of your personal information. Those laws decide what counts as a sale and what counts as sharing.

To make the request:

  1. Call (412) 547-8578 or email contact@coverdalepestcontrol.com.
  2. Tell us that you want to opt out.
  3. Give your name, plus the number or email you reached us from, so we can locate your records.

There is no account to create and no fee.

We will tell you once your request arrives and put it into effect within the legal time limit. To do that, we may ask a question or two to find your records, and nothing more.

If you want someone else to do this for you, they can act as your authorized agent. We may ask to see your signed authorization for them.

Global Privacy Control works too: where the law requires it, any browser sending the signal is treated as having asked to opt out.

Using this right costs you nothing. The prices we quote and the service we give are the same whether or not you opt out.

Not for children

This site is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this page

This page is updated when needed, and the newest version is whichever carries the latest date at the top.
